COURSE OUTLINE

Editorial
The poem is dedicated to Mike, and the wonderful team that we have built together in the Pilgrims summer of 2009; Painting “Pilgrim’s Progress” by Perry Wood – Faversham, Kent, UK

Pilgrim’s Progress

Fiona James, UK

The tree may grow new branches
But the trunk remains
You are you to the core
There is no one the same

Your courage and faith
Your belief in what’s true
Guide you through forests
To discern the real you

Your ability to listen
To understand song in my heart
Is a gift in the making
To take forth to world parts

Cast a look back
To what was before
Do you really believe
what’s gone on is no more?

But you are still you
And your forests stand green
Their meandering paths
Lead to heights unforeseen

Their foliage surrounds you
Whispers truths to your hearts
Let your unconscious minds
Uncover new light

Find yourselves time
Seek a space in the clearing
Share in nature’s love
It‘s there for the giving

Look up above
To the sky that looms tall
Give thanks to your maker
For all that is yours

For myself I thank you
From the depths of my heart
To each and every one of you
……not least Maria in her plight

For giving and sharing
What is so special and unique
For allowing me memories
That for life I will keep

Canterbury, 14th August 2009
