Background

Since 2006 I have attended 4 Pilgrims courses in Canterbury all of which I have liked a lot. I have been fortunate to be able to learn a lot about teaching English by listening to the trainers I have had and to absorb the environment-if you can use a phrase like that. Unfortunately I was not able to attend a course this year. I have tried to use my stay to add to my knowledge in every way. The towns and the cities- and the people, both the trainers and my colleagues –quite often have given me ideas about exercises or ways to enrich my teaching and hopefully make the studies more interesting for my students. During my stay in England the environment also has given me ideas I have dotted down in what some people might call poems, others say this is a way of wording your thoughts. All of the poems were written in England or on may way home from a course. Even the one named „Reykjavík sunset“.
