PILGRIMS CHILDREN & TEENAGERS COURSES – 'ENGLISH IN ACTION'

One thing you can be sure of is that if a child is bored they will 'switch off' very quickly. Keeping children interested and stimulated is key to their learning.

For over 25 years this has been the driving force behind the idea of Pilgrims' courses for Children & Teenagers. Learning should be fun and that's what Pilgrims courses are all about (so much so that the children forget they are learning another language!).

So what makes Pilgrims Children & Teenagers Courses so Special?

  • Variety – as well as English classes there are a multitude of activities, sports and excursions for the students to enjoy, one thing for sure they will never get bored
  • Action-Packed days – from 'breakfast to bedtime' the children are kept occupied and are supervised.
  • International friendships – one of the most rewarding sights for us as Pilgrims staff is to see the strength of friendships that are formed by children of different ages and nationalities in such a short space of time – friendships that in many cases will last a lifetime
  • The 'English Experience' – learning English in England, experiencing, smelling, tasting, touching English culture at first-hand.
  • Pilgrims' teaching – walk in to any class on one of our summer courses and we guarantee you won't see a single student sitting buried in a course book or wired in to a language lab. We will believe in learning by doing – actively involving the students in discussions, conversation, songs, projects, role-plays – pushing the desks to one side and above all having fun.

So when and where does this happen?

Here in the UK, in July & August, in English boarding schools in excellent locations. All the course centres have excellent facilities where the students and their imaginations can run free and in total safety. Complete supervision at all times ensures safety and keeps parents minds at rest.

Perhaps the most powerful testament to the success of these courses are the tears we see on the last day, from the children who were homesick on the first few days, but on the last day don't want to go home. The letters we receive all say this was the greatest experience of my life! – if only all learning experiences could be so great!
