Write the students' phone numbers on the board.
The teacher dials one of the numbers saying each number out loud.
The students listen and watch.
When a student recognise her number – practise this dialogue:

Teacher: (dialling) two, double four, nine, one, eight
    Jane: 2 4 4 9 1 8. Jane speaking.
Teacher: Hello Jane, this is Mr. Jones.

Continue until the students feel confident, then let them make phone-calls to each other.
