The Throne

Anna Sofie Pedersen, Denmark

Vocabulary: The numbers

Materials: Cards with the numbers 1 – 24 (depending on the number of students).

The students sit in a circle, put a spare chair in the circle.
4 of the chairs are the throne.
Two teams play against each other - the girls against the boys OR RED team against GREEN team.
The team that gets 4 of its members on the throne has won.

Start: 2 from each team sit on the throne (boy – girl – boy - girl).
The teacher gives each student a card with a number (secret).
The student (a) with the empty chair on the left calls out a number (7).
The student (b) who has got the number (7) moves to the empty chair and a +b exchange numbers.
And so on!
