Comfort Zone

Michael Berman, UK

"Nestle in the Wind"
The Chestnut mare who meets me in the Middle World,
By the gypsy caravan
Urges me to let the band play

But can I face the music if I do?
Or are all the instruments
Rusty from disuse
From being suppressed for so long?

And what will happen if I do let it play,
If I just let go
As I'm urged to do?
What if ...

Memories of a past life
Long forgotten
Too late to take up again
Or is it?
