As I write this, here at Pilgrims we are all very excited with less than a month to go until we welcome many teachers from Europe and beyond on to our Summer Teacher Training Courses held at the very fine University of Kent here in Canterbury, the birthplace of Pilgrims itself. The anticipation of making new friends and getting together with old friends fills us all with a warm glow. Knowing just what a fantastic time everyone will all have and what amazing new teaching ideas they will discover with our world class trainers makes us all feel so very proud to be part of this caring and humanistic community.

However, we realise that there are still lots of teachers out there in the world who will not be so lucky and may never have the wonderful opportunity to come to us at Pilgrims so for many years now we have sent our trainers and their dynamic training skills around the world to them! YES, if you can’t come to us, we can come to you!!

Some examples of our Overseas Work are:

• Regular workshops for the Ministries of Education both in Belgium and in Luxembourg. For the private British Schools chain all over Italy.
• An annual two or three week long course in Greenland for the Greenlandic Ministry.
• For the British Councils all over the globe including Jordan, Vietnam, Lebanon, Syria and many more.
• With Pearson Longman in Turkey especially in the primary school and University sector.
• Brazil: including individual schools in remote towns and British Council Centres in the larger Brazilian cities.
• An annual one week long course for Primary Teachers in the Castilla y Leon region of Spain where the same groups of teachers have usually already been to Pilgrims or will come either this summer or sometime in the future.

And many, many more schools, colleges, universities and teaching associations throughout the world with our trainers including Mario Rinvolucri, Bonnie Tsai, Sheelagh Deller, Hanna Kryszewska, Paul Davis, Wendy Arnold for example…
