Pilgrims' 25th Anniversary Conference
22-28th of August l999

Humanising Language Teaching Conference

Many of you who read this will know that Pilgrims is celebrating its 25th year. This training organisation in the south east of England has been training teachers from every corner of the globe and teaching English to people of all ages and walks of life for the last 25 years. (Our youngest student from Hong Kong was 6 years old; our oldest learner from Germany was in her eighties).

This year, for one week only, 10 top trainers/authors will gather at the University of Kent in Canterbury for a unique event. Where else in 1999 will you have the chance to meet, work with and learn from some of the top names in teacher training and teacher development? This event is unlike other conferences you have attended in the past. You won't spend your time rushing from one workshop to another. You will be attending workshops that last over 7 hours (over one and a half days). It will be like attending 3 mini-training courses in one week!

There is something for everyone at this event. There are 3 main themes: the first part focuses on teacher development; the second explores aspects of teaching and learning and the third is devoted to the psychology of learning. Overall, there is a balance of topic and style to suit teachers from all contexts.

Ask us for a Conference Registration pack today. In the meantime, make sure that the 22 to 28 August 1999 is blocked off in your diary. You can't afford to miss this celebration.
