READERS' LETTERS

Letter 1

Just to let you know my story "Juche, Self-Reliance in DPRK North Korea" is now on Kindle.

I decided that it was time to get it "out there" given the obvious level of interest generated by "The Interview" at the end of last year, and ongoing interest (including the recent "slave workers" news). And everybody tells me e-publishing is "the way to go"

My time in North Korea was extremely interesting, and taught me a lot about self-reliance and the value of human relationships which prevail even under the most restrictive conditions.

Given that I write academic material in my own name, I decided to use a pseudonym for this genre: Alysha (for Alice - through the looking glass) and Janus for looking both ways

If you would like to read it, go to www.amazon.com, and type Alysha Janus into the search box

And with International Women's Day here soon (May 8), this could be a good choice if you are still looking for a gift - no-one will already have it - it is hot off the press!!

Best wishes
Carol

Dear Hania Kryszewska

Thanks for letting me know about your magazine.

I've been wondering for some time if you or your services wouldn't be interested in having a translator, in this case myself, as a way of living. I'd like very much to change my way of life and I always had this passion for translating or vice versa.

So if you know about other identities or yourself interested, I hope forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely!

Hi Hania,

I thought you might be interested to know that I have my first book coming out in late Feb/early March. The subject of the book is the link between laughter yoga and my teaching methods, describing my work over the last the last 10 yrs.

The book mentions Pilgrims, my mentor Mario Rinvolucri, the Portonovo conferences of 2010 and 2012, as well as international teaching conferences in Slovenia and Croatia.

It includes experiences teaching kids in Spain and Holland and various locations in Italy, such as Treviso in the north east and Sicily in the deep south. It also describes teaching adults in Abruzzo, elderly groups in Rimini and teacher-training experiences in Bolzano among other places.

In the book, I describe the places I visit in my usual witty style, focusing especially on the gastronomic delicacies.

I have written the book in Italian as a special thank you to Italy, the country which has hosted me over the last 20 years and to the people who have helped me during this wonderful journey.

Best

Danny Singh
