Pilgrims News

Hello from Pilgrims! We hope 2013 is off to a flying start.

Those of you living in Europe, we hope you managed to get your EU Funding applications in time and we wish you the best of luck and we are looking forward to seeing you at Pilgrims in the summer.

Remember that we still have places available on several Teacher Training courses.

Get in touch with us and we’ll find the best one for you.

A very interesting bit of news is related to the Teaching Pronunciation course that Pilgrims is running in the summer.

The course will be run by Adrian Underhill. A lot of you know Adrian from his many books, publications and his pronunciation blog.

Adrian had this to say about the opportunity to run this course at Pilgrims:

Yes, I'm very pleased to be running the one week pronunciation course starting 11 August. It was so much fun last year! We did a lot of interesting and practical work, and the group was fabulous. Many of them have since said how it opened up a new dimension of teaching since they got back to school.

This short, intensive and practical methodology and language improvement course is for teachers who want to develop new, creative and engaging ways to teach pronunciation by integrating it fully with other language work, embedding it in all reading, writing, speaking and listening activities. You will develop your own pronunciation and see from the inside how understanding of your own pronunciation improves the way you teach it, regardless of whether native or non native teacher.

If you want to participate in an energising, one-week methodology and language improvement course and if you feel you only have a limited range of approaches for teaching pronunciation and want to widen it in a short period of time then this is the course for you.

Remember that you can stay in touch with Pilgrims Teacher Training on Facebook and Twitter!
