COURSE OUTLINE

This song was written for the end of the course party at Pilgrims. It was sung to the tune of “The Wild Rover”

Pilgrims Song

The New Teacher

I’ve been a wild teacher for many a year,
But with Pilgrims it changed – I know why I was here.
But now I’m returning with knowledge in store
And I swear I will be the old teacher no more.

Chorus:
And it’s now – nay – never, no-nay-never no more,
will I be the same teacher, no never, no more…

I went into Pilgrims as never before,
And I thought that I never would come here no more.
But then there was Hania, a nice girl she is,
There were soon no more worries and neither disease.

Chorus:
And it’s now – nay – never, no-nay-never no more,
will I be the same teacher, no never, no more…

Hania taught us ‘bout visual, kinaesthetic stuff,
Auditory, olfactory – yes boy that was tough.
About bloody CLIL facts, intelligences, too.
We found out that ‘toilet’ was simply a ‘loo’.

Chorus:
And it’s now – nay – never, no-nay-never no more,
will I be the same teacher, no never, no more…

We went into music, combined it with arts,
We learnt that in interviews you don’t mention ‘farts’.
She brought along Paul who us very confused,
But eventually it turned out we were rather amused.

Chorus:
And it’s now – nay – never, no-nay-never no more,
will I be the same teacher, no never, no more…

We go back to our students, try out all that’s new:
Interpersonal, natural and visual, too.
And now we do thank her for all we went through,
She has earned  a great merit, it really is true.

Chorus:
And it’s now – nay – never, no-nay-never no more,
will I be the same teacher, no never, no more…
