Rebuilding your life
On a rainy day
This is your time
…For our soul to nurture
We are joining you
For rebuilding your life
Because we do realize
How hard and severe it is
Your ongoing plight.
Hundreds of thousands of your people
Have lost their natural way.
So, we all are sending our help and prayers
From very far away.
For you, the survivors in huge suffering,
We appeal for your bravery and courage
In your everyday struggle,
To provide help one another
And rebuild your life
From the devastating wreckage!
The morning air was cold,
And the sky was extensively grey
On that heavy rainy day.
It invited me to write…
Some heartfelt common lines
From the bottom of my heart.
As the rain heavily touched the ground,
I thought of thousands homeless around
Without shelter, food and care
In the urgent need of a family,
Which would be fair.
The rain had already stopped
When someone knocked at my door.
I saw a young couple barefoot,
Who, for so little, blessed me and my family galore.
If time flies,
You should learn from the cries…
You should think thoughtfully
And act more wisely
To boost your daily commitment
In favour of others
Who lack any achievement.
If time flies,
You should be more optimistic,
Trying to be realistic.
On addressing major issues
You should be honest, fair
‘cause in the world
It has been so rare,
And for others you should care!
They are friendly, entertaining, mysterious,
Addressing different themes, issues,
Telling us diverse life stories
Much more exciting than news.
We travel through their pages
Across countries of different ages,
Whose traditions, history, culture
Are therein for our soul to nurture.
We look at them with respect,
Filling our heart with delight,
Enjoying how the characters interact
Within the plot the author thinks is right.
