Pilgrims Course Outline

USING MULTIMEDIA IN THE CLASSROOM

Perhaps your school is investing in multimedia for teaching and learning. Are you ready to use this new technology in your teaching or as a self-access resource? This course will help you to develop your understanding and skills for both these purposes.

Using Multimedia in the Classroom is a very practical course. You spend most of your two weeks in a computer room, working with your main trainer and with guest trainers. You have plenty of time to experiment, practise your new skills and work on an end of course project. Your training course focuses in particular on the Internet, the World Wide Web and Email as material resource banks and as communication tools.

To attend this course, you will need some experience of word processing using a computer and an open mind. There is a wealth of materials and ideas for teaching using new technology and you will certainly go home with lots of new ideas and a portfolio of useful materials. So get connected in 1999!
