Comenius 2.2 Scholarship application deadline: JAN 15th 2010

2010 is clearly the right year to come on teacher training course with us in Canterbury UK. The European Union is offering you, on average, scholarships of 1500 euro and as I write this, the euro and the UK pound are roughly the same value.

This is a catastrophic slide in the value of the UK’s national currency and the slide in value is set to continue as the Bank of England follows mediaeval precedent and prints more and more money. This makes UK the ideal destination for your summer study holiday. If you come from Euroland you will be amazed at how far your money goes on our Hilltop overlooking the Cathedral, in the town of Canterbury and up in London.
( if your country is in negotiations over entry to the EU you are already entitled to Comenius grants.)

If you do want to come and do a one or two week teacher training programme with us in the June, July August period next summer then it is high time to start thinking of applying to your EU national funding agency for a grant. The application process has several distinct steps and each step may need approval from an outside agency, so it is not a good idea to leave your application till the last moment. Leave yourself at least three weeks for the process and remember that people are often not at their desks around Xmas and Western New Year.

The form you will need to fill in is long, complex and a tad bureaucratic and you need to set aside time to complete it assiduously and thoughtfully.

There are not many places where you can get a 45 clock hour NLP course customized for language teachers at as little as 900 euros ( £855). Most NLP courses out there in the capital cities of Europe would cost you three times as much and would not address language teaching concerns.
