Pilgrims Young Learner course

English language is just one part of a Pilgrims Young Learners course. Pilgrims also focuses on the personal development of your child. We give students the confidence to learn more, speak and understand English through a wide variety of activities all using English. Our friendly and enthusiastic professionals are with students from breakfast to bedtime, teaching English in class, during meal times, activities, sports, trips and visits.

Our exceptional programme has been developed over 40 years to create the perfect environment for students to learn and practice English. So what makes our summer courses such a success?

1 Full immersion programme

Our programme is designed around speaking English all day. Our breakfast to bedtime programme ensures that students have over 100 hours a week of English language exposure to increase confidence and improve fluency. Unlike traditional teaching and learning environments we do not follow a predictable syllabus. Instead, our friendly teachers focus on language that students can then use confidently in order to participate in our fun and exciting activities.

2 Multinational mix on all courses

With over 30 nationalities coming to a Pilgrims course each summer our students are learning English whilst making lots of international friends. We ensure a maximum of 25% of same-language students on any one course. This is to ensure that all students speak lots of English in class, activities and during meal times with their new international friends.

3 Pastoral Care

Pilgrims ensure that there is 1 teacher for every 5 or 6 students on a summer course. This is because we believe in putting the learner at the centre of the learning. As well as 24 hour supervision, our staff to student ratio means that all students are practising their English with our friendly and enthusiastic professionals from breakfast to bedtime.

By signing a child up to our average 3 week course you can get up to £366. Recommend 3 kids and you have the money to join one of our Teacher Training courses!
