ERASMUS+ FUNDING FOR TEACHERS IN EU COUNTRIES TO COME TO PILGRIMS IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR SCHOOL

In return for a small amount of your time, your school could receive EU funds for you and your colleagues to attend Pilgrims courses in 2015 and 2016!

This short article explains simply how you can apply for EU funding under Action 1 of Erasmus+

What do I need to do first?

  • Well first of all you need to ask permission from your headmaster – as they will need to sign and approve your application.
  • Then you have to apply on behalf of your school to Erasmus+ - all the details and the links you need are on Pilgrims web site – you just need to follow this link www.pilgrims.co.uk/page/?title=EU+Funding+-+Latest+News%21&pid=14

The deadline for submitting your completed application is 4 March 2015 12:00 Brussels time.

You can apply for your Pilgrims course now, you don't have to pay for your course now; we will hold your place on the course until you have confirmed your funding application has been successful.

Here's what you need to do in 5 easy steps:

  1. Read the Erasmus+ information at the links we have given you below and arrange a meeting with the person responsible in your school, university, college or organisation. We recommend you arrange this now!
  2. Your school / organisation will need to submit a training plan for one or two years in line with the EU 2020 Education, Training, Youth and Sport Proposal requesting the number of grants they need for their staff to attend training courses at Pilgrims.
At this point you will need to choose which Pilgrims courses you and your colleagues wish to attend and reserve your places on-line or by contacting lizzie@pilgrims.co.uk
  3. You will need to register your school with the European Commission’s Participant Portal and get a PIC number – here is the link to find out how:
    www.erasmusplus.org.uk/sites/default/files/ECAS%20Registration%20Guide_0.pdf
  4. If this funding is awarded, you and your school / organisation can then confirm with Pilgrims the courses you and your colleagues would like to participate in and make your travel arrangements.
  5. There is no longer an EU course database, so you can choose any Pilgrims Teacher Training Course – to see our 2015 courses and dates go to -
    www.pilgrims.co.uk/page/?title=2015+Courses%2C+Dates+and+Fees&pid=69

This all main seem rather daunting but as you will have seen in the other articles, many teachers have applied, been successful and have had amazing experiences at Pilgrims!

So it is worth the effort for you and your colleagues to enjoy a life changing experience here in Canterbury with us!

Good luck and see you soon!
