Roll on 2006- Our January and April TT courses
Mario Rinvolucri, Pilgrims, Canterbury, UK
The thrill and beauty of our Northern Hemisphere summer courses lies in the coming together or so many people from all over and the massive energy they generate.
You can imagine: 150-200 teachers together on a range of very diverse courses
ranging from language via methodology through to sub-therapy. Yes, energy is the word
and the "wow" factor is very high.
In January 2006 , from the 6th to the 21st we are running a CREATIVE METHODOLGY IN THE CLASSROOM course which will bring together people from Latin America and Europe.
This will be a quite different sort of course from the hurly burly referred to above.
Your tutors will focus entirely on you, a group of between 10 and 20 people. It will be possible to get to know people really quite well over the two weeks. The relative quietness may suit some people much better than the heady "lunacy" of the July August courses.
If you come from , say, Central or Northern Brazil, you will also experience the difference of a moderate Northern European winter. Quite a shock and yet, for a short time, other people's climate can be really interesting to live through.
Maybe January does not fit in with your plans: then why not come on a one week course at Easter time. From the 9th to the 15th of April you could either do WHAT'S NEW IN LANGUAGE TEACHING or BRITISH LIFE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE.
At this time of year Canterbury is a dream, with all the apple and pear orchards in early bloom; When April with his sweet showers………. Do you remember the Middle English words that Chaucer wrote, of which this is a modern rendering?
Whichever time of year you come, the warmth of our welcome to you will be the same.
We love our work and this tends to have a positive effect on you, the course participants.
Looking forward to meeting you in January, April, or July August 2006 here in Canterbury, Kent, UK.
