  1. GO TO http://sln.fi.edu/tfi/units/energy/windatwork.html AND READ THE TEXT IN “III. Explanation”

  2. NOW THAT YOU HAVE READ THE TEXT, TRY AND ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
    a) Are you in favour of windmills as an energy resource? Why?
    b) What other resources should we use to get CLEAN energy?

  3. SEARCH IN THE WEB AND FIND THE REGIONS (Spain, or Europe or your part of the world) WHERE WINDMILLS ARE USED TO GET POWER:

    a) Make a list with all the regions with windmills.
    b) Compare the use of wind mills for energy in the different regions of the area you have chosen: e.g. Aragon uses 30% more wind energy than Galicia.
    c) Calculate which regions use more of this alternative energy and make a descending list of regions:
    e.g.

  4. 1 ARAGON
    2 CATALUÑA
    3 ASTURIAS
    4 Etc.

    d) Create a symbol for wind power or alternatively look for it in the Internet.
    e) Make a map of Spain/Europe which shows the different regions and their use of windmills, by locating the wind power symbols as to illustrate which regions use more wind energy.
    f) Show it to the class and compare results.
