Hello Hania,
I got some very good ideas from you in your evening class on alphabet exercises at Pilgrims in July this year. I have now tried out an alphabet dialogue with one of my business classes. It went very well, they had a lot of fun and actively used a lot of the expressions they were meant to remember. Hope you enjoy the outcome as well.
Best wishes,

ABC-Dialogue Meetings
All are here today, I see.
Before we start, let me introduce Charles.
Charles, could you take the minutes?
Did everybody get the agenda?
Evelyn, could you lead on this one?
First, I would like to point out that …
Go on.
Honestly, I’m not with you on that.
I would much rather…
Just let me finish this point.
Kindly get back to what’s on the agenda.
Let’s go on to the next point.
May I come in here?
No.
Over to you…
Personally, I think we should…
Questions?
Ready for a break?
Soon.
Today we don’t seem to be very productive.
Uli is missing.
Very true.
Why don’t we close this meeting then?
X-tremely disappointing that.
Yes, but let’s fix another date when Uli is back.
Zap..
ABC-Meeting Dialogue
„And now that everyone is here, let’s get started.“
“Before we start,
Can I just ask a question about…?”
“Do you think this is the right moment?”
“Even if we haven’t really started yet,
Feel free to ask questions any time.”
“General ones or more specific ones?”
“Have you all got the agenda?”
“I haven’t”.
“Josie, would you please hand him one?”
“Keith, can we have your input on the first item now?”
“Let me start by saying that…”
“May I come in here?”
“No, sorry,
Or is it something you’d like to add to this point?”
“Possibly.”
“Question then?”
“Right, what if we had a separate meeting on this project next week”.
“Sure, that’s not a bad idea.”
“Tomorrow we could tell those who didn’t make it today”.
“Usual time and place?”
“Very likely, I’ll check with Angela.”
“Where is the usual place?”
“X-building, top floor.”
“You’re all coming?”
